Moving

So today me and my family spent the entire day, well not the entire day, just until 1500 ..moving my grandmother. Fun fun. One word to describe the whole day? Stressful. There it is, one word for a whole day. It started off with "AH! How are we going to get all this out?! There is like 24 boxes and 3 pieces of furniture! Do you think that this Ginormous Uhaul will get everything??" and then to my dad. "Why didn't you get help? I wanted you to get help!" Apparently she didn't see me and Brad standing right there.
Anyway. I discovered that we are pro's at moving though. And I mean PRO'S. We got everything out of her old place in like 30 mins. Seriously, I am not exaggerating. The only reason it took us till 1400 to get done is because we had to get all the stuff into her new place and her new place was three floors up. Luckily, someone invented what's known as the elevator. But even that took forever. We loaded the elevator full of stuff, sent it up and unloaded it, took the elevator back down, then the two people on the top floor would take it from outside the elevator to her apartment. IDK if this is how normal people would go about this, but I guess my family is on the not so normal side. Hey it worked, don't judge us. One thing I noticed with all the 20 million rides in the elevator is that the escape hatch, or whatever you wanna call it, was locked. Lemme say that again. LOCKED. So if you needed to get out because of some reason, you couldn't. You would have to hug your knees and cry because all hope was lost. But there was a phone in there. I guess that's an upside. :)
You know it's funny though because my grandma Roxie thinks that if it's heavy for her, it's heavy for everyone. Um ya no. Every time me and my bro would lift something, "OM goodness! I can't believe you two are lifting that! Your dad needs to be up here. Where is he anyway?! Are you sure you got that?!" Every time......    There was this like 20 pound table that she wanted to use three people for. Three people. For this tiny little table. Me and brad could lift that with our pinkies!! (maybe exaggerating there) (but still). And then there was this like 5 pound box that she went to lift and claimed it was too heavy for one person to lift, so I was preparing for something like 100 pounds. Was it? No just 5. I felt like a dorfus using two people to carry in this tiny box. Anyway I was glad to get that over with. Then we went to Sizzler. We ate dinner at like 3 so it was kinda considered Linner..or Dunch...doesn't really matter. Either way works. Interesting day today. Stressful. But interesting. Tonight is kinda one of those nights where you kinda just roll into bed. In fact I think I am going to go do that right now. :) Anyway. Happy Memorial Day! Be thankful for your country and for the men who fought to save it. (and women for that matter) Enjoy the rest of your weekend..I know I will. Over and out.
