School and Poetry

WOO HOO!! School is almost out! And Summer is on it's way!! I LOVE Summer. And I know there are Summer fanatics out there. Ya I hear ya'll screaming right now. Who couldn't love Summer?? I mean the BBQ's, the swimming, the camping, the luscious green trees, tanning, boating, fishing, hunting, sports, lemonade, sleeping under the stars, the beach!! I mean really. Man I am getting myself all worked up just talking about it. I tend to do that a lot. Okay who out there has a SEA DOO?? You don't?? Well take my advice, and GET ONE! They make Summer complete.
    I am totally looking forward to a day at the lake. All day. I love it. We bring our BBQ and stay there till the sun goes down, and the water is still warm when that happens. Swim all day long in the lake, go SEA DOO'in, eat, swim some more, knee board. Now THAT is fun. I love doing that. Whew man, I can't WAIT till stinkin' school gets out! I have 4 more weeks, while some people have 2 more weeks or even just a couple more days. Anyway You'll notice the word poetry in my title. The reason for that is because the last few weeks are dedicated to poetry. Ya I know. But today we had to "do" two poems and I think I rocked it. I mean I was proud of myself. Maybe I'm a poet, and I didn't even know it!! :-) Ya well anyway turns out that my great grandpa was quite a poet, and my mom is pretty good at it too. Here I will put the ones I did on here :
         I Believe
 
I believe in the busy days of Summer

the warm sunshine

the green leaves on trees

the cold lemonade

the lively camping trips

crickets singing in the night

butterflies fluttering by

birds chirping their loudest song

bees humming in the warm air

But when I think there is nothing to do

I simply look around

I believe in smiles on faces

I believe in fun, exhilarating places

I believe in playing hard

exciting places, magical places, refreshing places

And I believe that spending quality time 

with the ones you love is a day to live 

over and over again

 Just Because

Just because I'm not smiling, 

it doesn't mean I'm not flying,

Doesn't mean I'm serious,

Doesn't mean I'm delirious,

Time continues, thoughts are renewed

Just because I cry,

it doesn't mean I'm sad,

Doesn't mean I'm depressed,

Doesn't mean I'm not blessed,

I'm teeming with ecstasy
