An outside appearance can only tell so much, yes, it is a reflection of that on the inside but only to a certain degree. If it were possible to see one's mind develop, grow, and mature just as one's physical body, what a joy that would be! Routine tasks are but an auto-pilot, a second nature, busy work to keep one's physical self engaged, but what engages our mental self? Am I still but a child or have I moved on to my teenage years? Has one part developed more than another, making me look awkward? How would one tell? And on what could one base his speculations?
Suddenly, I was sucked back into my present-self, only to realize my cart of manure, that I had collected from the horses paddocks, had all but turned into a cart of flies. There is nothing like getting lost in one's thoughts.
