The most unlikely lessons come from the most unlikely people. For this reason in particular, the action of disregarding a person is a foolish one. Pride and arrogance are two of the sneakiest sensations I have ever felt. If you know who your God is, insecurity is arrogance. I take time to make this observation clear because it is the one that sneaks up on me the most often.
My work day was different from the previous. As I said goodbye to a colleague of higher status, he esteemed me and told me to "never let anyone bring you down". He continued to say that he saw me going very far with the company, words I never would have expected to hear. Though somewhat of a short interaction, his words rang loud in my ears.
