Mindless of the effects. Mindless.
Surely they are not talking to me. Going so long without seeing change, without seeing results, numb's one's mind. In reality, change was there, it was just not seen.
After such a period one would assume nothing could affect them, and in doing so, they would be wrong. Pay attention - look closely - examine microscopically if need-be - find the change - find the effect.
