In a ships bed, I lay by light.
Above the ocean floor we sail by night.
Though the sun had fallen long ago, and darkness surrounded all we know,
The vessel continued with miles to go.
Lights, and music, and laughter
Filled the cool air, wind wisping the sound away.
Glasses filled with ice and drinks, never ending,
Clinked.
Mysteries on deck three, a rock show on five,
Dinner in the promenade, and Latin dancing
Live.
One more day until we reach the port.
Swaying and rocking, laughing and mocking,
the ship with four thousand souls
aboard.
